“Teachers who love teaching, teach children to love learning”, and when I think of this quote special teachers like Silvia come to my mind. I met Silvia nine school years ago, and you would agree with me, because she does not only have the knowledge and the experience, but she masters teaching kids with love and structure.

All these years, many children have arrived to her class with lots of expectations, and left after a year of wonderful experiences, equipped and ready for the next grade.   It sounds easy, but that has implied lots of hours planning, checking, reading, teaching, every year preparing the Thanksgiving, academic projects, practicing for the Spelling Bee, being with 20 to 30 children with different personalities and dreams. We are talking about a life dedicated to educating the most important resource of humankind, our children.

Teacher Silvia, you have left a deep mark on us. You have given us patience, kindness, and lots of moments of laughter with your special sense of humor. We are going to miss you very, very much. Thank you for all your committed dedication. We wish you the best in what you will undertake, and please know that the doors will always be open for you.

“Los maestros que aman enseñar, enseñan a los niños a amar aprender” cuando pienso en esta cita, vienen a mi mente maestros como Silvia. Conocí a Silvia hace 9 años, y ustedes estarán de acuerdo en que ella no sólo tiene  el conocimiento y la experiencia, también es una experta en enseñar con amor y estructura.

Todos estos años, muchos niños han llegado a su  clase con muchas expectativas y se han ido al siguiente grado después de haber vivido experiencias maravillosas, y equipados y listos para el siguiente grado. Suena fácil, pero todo eso implicó muchas horas de planeación, revisión, lectura, enseñanza,  cada año preparar el evento de Thanksgiving, los proyectos académicos, practicar para el Spelling Bee, estar con 20 o 30 niños con diferentes personalidades y sueños. Hablamos de toda una vida dedicada a educar al más importante recurso de la humanidad, que son nuestros niños.

Teacher Silvia, has dejado una profunda huella en nosotros. Nos has dado tu paciencia, amabilidad, y muchos momentos de risa con tu muy buen sentido del humor. Vamos a extrañarte mucho, mucho. ¡Gracias por tu compromiso y dedicación! Te deseamos lo mejor en lo que emprendas, y sabes que las puertas siempre están abiertas para ti.
